Charity Challenge 2021 - Week 1 Night 3

Welcome back and thank you for joining us for Night 3 of the 2021 O’Sullivan charity challenge in support of CAMH. We’ve raised $35 of our $600 goal so far and we appreciate everyone’s continued support!

If you would like to donate you can do so here.

The Choice

The week is tied 1-1 and because I won on Night 2 Rachel gets the choice this time around. Our moods are both basically the same at the moment, we’re having fun, not thinking too much about our win %’s and just picking games we want to play.

In that spirit Rachel has picked a recent addition to the collection and a favourite – Project L

The Game

Project L is a puzzle game where you take Tetris pieces and complete puzzles to unlock bigger Tetris pieces that help you more quickly finish puzzles. The official description does a pretty good job of summarizing what the game is and how it plays:

The core of the game lies in using your pieces to complete puzzles. Starting with just two basic pieces, you use three actions every turn to develop a powerful engine. With more pieces of various types, you can efficiently complete even the most difficult puzzles. The puzzles you complete award you points or new pieces to further fuel your engine

The Result

You know the scene in the Matrix when Neo gets trained up and then says “I know Kung-fu”. That was me with Project L last night. I don’t know what happened but I just flew through beating Rachel in two games. There was one game, I think it was game two where I took my turns without placing pieces. This is actually a game I had not won against Rachel before tonight and WOW I figured it out at the right time.

So I’m victorious on Night 3 and I poised to win Week 1 with one more victory. Rachel will no doubt have something to say tomorrow to shut me down. See you then!
