Charity Challenge Week 1 Night 4

I can’t believe we’re closing in on the end of week 1 already. The charity challenge really does go quickly once it starts. If you’d like to donate in support of CAMH, the Center for Addiction and Mental Health you can do so here.

Let’s get cracking with the results of Night 4!

The Choice

After my Crokinole victory control for tonight is back in Rachel’s hands. She doesn’t seem too worried and seems confident in her ability to win week 1. As a result she’s picked a game we’re about 50/50 on but both really enjoy – tonight we’re playing Second Chance!

The Game

Second Chance is a “flip and write” game where players have to draw tetris shapes that are revealed on cards. You need to efficiently puzzle the pieces on your board because whoever has the least blank spaces at the end of the game wins. The reason the game is called Second Chance is because you draw shapes until you cannot fit the shapes that are drawn onto your board. At that point you flip up one more shape, your second chance, and if you fit it on your board you keep playing, otherwise you’re eliminated.

The Result

Yet again this year we decided to play best of 3 and the result was a bit of a cracker. Game one went to Rachel, 8 squares left to 11 squares. The second game was a tense one but I managed to put up a solid 6 squares to Rachels 11. All tied up!

The final game was very close and tense. In the end we both tied with 13 squares left! The tie breaker? Whoever went out first, and that was…. ME! So Night 4 went to me!

That means that we’re now all tied up for the week and tonight, night 5, we’re playing for all the marbles. Tune in tomorrow to find out who takes the final point of the week!
